Chapter 6 - The Blocked Exits

Driven by pure, animalistic desperation, Victoria hiked up the skirt of her dark burgundy evening gown and sprinted directly toward the grand double doors of the ballroom.
She didn't make it five steps.
The heavy mahogany doors swung open inward. Standing in the doorway were six massive, heavily armed private security contractors wearing dark tactical suits. They weren't the guards Victoria had hired; they were Alexander’s original, loyal security team that he had secretly rehired behind her back.
The guards stepped forward, completely blocking the exit. They crossed their arms, staring at the terrified socialite with absolute disgust.
Victoria spun around, frantically looking for another way out. She ran toward the service corridor, but two more towering guards stepped out from the shadows, effectively trapping her inside the ballroom.
"Let me out!" Victoria screamed, thrashing wildly. "You can't hold me here! This is kidnapping!"
"It's a citizen's detainment, Victoria," Alexander corrected softly, casually walking toward her.
He stopped exactly three feet away, looking down at the pathetic monster who had made his life a living hell for the past year.
"You thought I was helpless without my money," Alexander whispered, his dark eyes completely pitch black. "Let's see how helpless you are without yours."

Victoria dropped to her knees on the polished wooden floor, sobbing uncontrollably.
👉 Alexander pulled out his phone, and the financial slaughter he was about to execute would destroy her entire bloodline.
