Chapter 8 - The Eviction

The silence in the grand luxury ballroom was absolutely agonizing.

"You insulted the only mother I have ever known," the rugged man whispered, leaning his heavily tattooed knuckles onto the pristine white tablecloth. "You treated her like trash because she didn't wear diamonds. So let's see how you like being treated like trash."

"Please," Vanessa begged, tears of absolute humiliation and sheer terror welling in her eyes. "I didn't know! I'm sorry!"

"You're not sorry," he replied, entirely devoid of mercy. "You're just caught."

He didn't raise his voice to call for security. He simply snapped his fingers once.

From the shadows of the ballroom perimeter, six towering, heavily armed syndicate enforcers immediately stepped forward. They marched directly to the VIP table, completely ignoring the horrified stares of the city's politicians and millionaires.

"Take her diamonds," the mafia boss ordered, not taking his eyes off the weeping socialite. "Void her husband's corporate accounts. And throw her out the back service door into the alley."

"No! Wait! My husband will ruin you!" Vanessa shrieked hysterically, thrashing wildly in her red silk gown as two massive guards violently grabbed her arms and hauled her out of the gold chair.

"Your husband works for me," the boss stated coldly. "Or at least, he did until exactly five seconds ago."

👉 The socialite was dragged away in complete disgrace, leaving the mafia boss to deliver the ultimate reward.
