Chapter 7 - The Security Breach

"I'll kill you!" Vanessa roared, wielding the heavy glass bottle like a weapon, lunging frantically around Nathan to strike Grace.

The wealthy guests screamed in sheer horror, scrambling away from the desperate woman.

But Vanessa never even got close.

Three massive, heavily armed private security guards—men who had been standing discreetly near the ballroom doors—swarmed the VIP table with explosive tactical speed.

Before Vanessa could swing the bottle, the lead guard grabbed her wrist, violently twisting her arm behind her back. The champagne bottle slipped from her fingers, shattering loudly against the highly reflective marble floor.

"Get your hands off me!" Vanessa shrieked, kicking her expensive heels against the guards' shins. "I am the CEO! I own this city!"

"You don't own anything," the guard barked, effortlessly forcing the struggling, weeping woman to her knees directly in front of Grace.

Grace stood tall in her gray smock and white apron. She looked down at the woman who had terrorized her, stolen her father's legacy, and forced her to live in absolute poverty for five years. She didn't look angry. She looked completely, utterly victorious.

"You told me I would always be the help, Vanessa," Grace said quietly, her voice echoing with unstoppable justice. "You were wrong."
