Chapter 3 - The Dark Office

The next morning, the heavy, moody atmosphere of the mansion shifted entirely into the dark wood of Christopher's massive executive home office.
Christopher stood behind his heavy mahogany desk. He had spent the entire night processing the emotional scene in the bedroom, but his ruthless, corporate paranoia had violently returned. He didn't trust strangers. He didn't trust people who got too close to his vulnerable mother.
A medium close-up captured Christopher towering over Hannah. The young maid stood quietly on the other side of the desk, still wearing her black and white uniform, her hands folded neatly in front of her.
"You were hired to clean floors," Christopher stated coldly, his dark eyes violently interrogating her, perfectly projecting his wealthy, untouchable arrogance. "My mother has three private nurses on retainer. Why are you sitting with my mother?"
He expected the young woman to flinch. He expected her to stammer, apologize, and nervously back out of the room, terrified of losing her job.
But a tight close-up captured Hannah looking directly up at the powerful billionaire.
She didn't flinch. Her natural micro-expressions didn't show a single ounce of fear or intimidation. Instead, her eyes radiated a quiet, profound empathy that completely, instantly pierced right through his massive, toxic ego.

"Because she was scared," Hannah replied softly, her voice carrying an incredibly genuine, heavy weight. "The nurses only care about her vitals. She needed someone to hold her hand."
👉 Before Christopher could process the profound truth in her words, the office doors violently swung open.
