Chapter 8 - The Financial Execution

"I am so incredibly sorry," Christopher whispered fiercely into his sister's hair, tears finally filling his own dark eyes. "He was a monster. But I am not him."
Christopher immediately pulled his encrypted cell phone from his pocket. He dialed his ruthless corporate legal team, putting them on speaker so both Florence and Hannah could hear.
"I need emergency transfer documents drafted immediately," Christopher commanded flawlessly, his voice carrying the crushing, undeniable authority of the CEO. "I am transferring exactly half of my father's original estate, including the corporate shares and the liquid trusts, directly to Hannah."
The corporate lawyer on the other end of the line audibly gasped. "Sir? That is over four hundred million dollars. We need to do background checks! We need to verify her DNA!"
"I don't need a DNA test to recognize my family," Christopher stated clinically, completely devoid of negotiation. "Execute the transfer in the next ten minutes, or you are all fired."
Hannah let out a breathless gasp, completely overwhelmed by the breathtaking generosity of the brother she had just met. She had spent her entire life struggling in poverty, abandoned by her father, and in a single sentence, Christopher had made her one of the wealthiest women in the country.
