Chapter 1 - The Glass Collapse
The magnificent American mansion ballroom was a breathtaking spectacle of glamorous, untouchable high-society wealth. Towering, polished marble columns supported a ceiling adorned with massive, sparkling crystal chandeliers that cast a vivid, elegant lighting over the room. Hundreds of wealthy guests in designer evening wear mingled smoothly around champagne tables.
But the undisputed centerpiece of the entire room was an enormous, glittering pyramid built entirely of empty, perfectly stacked crystal glasses, towering over the guests like a fragile monument to excess.
Playing happily and completely safely on the polished marble floor near the base of the massive structure was Noah. He was an adorable five-year-old boy with bouncing chestnut curls and huge, innocent blue eyes, looking incredibly sharp in a custom crimson-red silk blazer and a black bowtie.
Watching him from a few feet away was Elena. She was a beautiful twenty-eight-year-old brunette maid with her hair styled in an elegant bun. She wore a deep emerald-green satin blouse paired with a crisp, gold-trimmed apron, her eyes radiating a warm, deeply protective instinct.
Without any warning, the massive structure behind the little boy shuddered violently.
Clink.
The subtle, terrifying sound of shifting crystal echoed instantly through the air.
Elena noticed it immediately. Her eyes widened in sheer, unadulterated terror as she saw the top tiers of the glass tower beginning to sway dangerously.
"NOAH!" Elena screamed, her voice completely tearing through the polite conversation of the ballroom.
She didn't hesitate for a fraction of a second. Elena sprinted forward with explosive speed. She slid across the polished marble, gently and securely gathering the five-year-old boy into her arms, seamlessly lifting him and moving him safely away from the tower's destructive path.
In a brief, heart-stopping moment of slow motion, Elena curled her body protectively around Noah several feet away.

Behind them, the enormous crystal glass pyramid completely collapsed. It crashed across an unoccupied section of the marble floor, creating a spectacular, deafening, glittering cascade of destruction.
