Chapter 7 - The Bloody Evidence

The chaotic corridor blurred as the nurses hoisted Hannah onto the stretcher, moving with intense, practiced precision.

As they began wheeling her rapidly toward the surgical elevators, Hannah reached out with a trembling, bruised hand. She grabbed Paige by the collar of her scrubs, pulling the young nurse down to her eye level.

"Paige," Hannah gasped, her voice raw and breathless from the excruciating pain of the contractions.

Hannah reached into the deep, hidden pocket of her green scrubs. She pulled out a small, blood-stained digital audio recorder.

"When they broke into my apartment," Hannah whispered frantically, her eyes locking onto Paige's terrified face, "I hit one of them with a lamp. He dropped this. It was recording his phone call with Grant. He explicitly ordered them to kill the baby."

Paige stared at the bloody piece of plastic, the horrifying reality of the CEO's monstrous actions crashing over her.

"Don't give it to hospital security," Hannah pleaded, gripping Paige's arm tightly as another contraction hit. "Grant owns them. Take it directly to the federal marshals office across the street. Run."

Paige nodded, her young face hardening into fierce determination. She took the recorder, slipped it into her own pocket, and instantly peeled away from the stretcher, sprinting toward the emergency exit stairwell before Grant could even register she was gone.

👉 Grant tried to follow the stretcher into the elevator, but his reign of terror was about to hit a titanium wall.
