Chapter 1 - The Boy in the White Suit

The grand luxury gala ballroom was a vision of absolute perfection. Crystal chandeliers cast a blinding, warm glow over the glossy marble floor, illuminating the massive golden floral arrangements that lined the walls. Hundreds of elite guests in formal wear stood chatting, sipping champagne, waiting for the evening’s grand toast.

Then, the heavy oak doors burst open.

A tiny, six-year-old boy named Leo, dressed in a crisp white formal suit and a crooked white bowtie, ran desperately into the center of the ballroom. Tears streamed down his red, flushed cheeks. He was hyperventilating, his small chest heaving with sheer panic as he sprinted past the horrified guests.

Three bridesmaids—women in their thirties wearing identical elegant silver V-neck evening gowns and heavy diamond necklaces—stumbled and fell to their knees on the marble floor in collective shock, unable to catch him.

Standing in the background, wearing an all-black tailored suit with a black shirt, was Arthur, the groom and Leo’s father. His handsome face twisted into absolute bewilderment as he watched his son disrupt the flawless reception.

Leo didn't run to his father. He ran straight past him.

He threw himself at a woman in her late thirties standing near the catering doors. She had dark hair pulled tightly back into a neat bun and wore a standard black maid uniform with a stiff white collar and white apron.

The maid immediately dropped to her knees. She caught the crying little boy in a tight, desperate embrace. Leo buried his face deep into her shoulder, sobbing uncontrollably.
