Chapter 3 - The Arrogant Demand

The heavy, toxic silence in the grand ballroom was absolutely deafening.

Celeste completely failed to read the room. She was so blinded by her own elite status and arrogant pride that she genuinely believed her money made her completely untouchable. She aggressively pointed her manicured finger at the terrifying, tattooed mafia boss kneeling on the floor.

"Excuse me!" Celeste shrieked wildly, violently waving her hand to break the heavy silence. "Who do you think you are?!"

Damian didn't flinch. He kept his dark eyes locked gently on Laurel, ensuring the terrified assistant was completely covered by his heavy suit jacket.

"That is my personal assistant!" Celeste demanded, her heavy diamond necklace shaking as she completely lost her temper. "You don't have the right to touch her! I am firing her right now for ruining my public image, and I want you both out of my VIP section immediately! Security! Get this tattooed thug out of my gala!"

Not a single security guard in the building moved. The estate guards knew exactly who Damian was, and they knew that touching him would result in an absolute, blood-soaked massacre.

Damian slowly stood up to his full, towering height. He completely dominated the massive room without even raising his voice. He looked down at the screaming forty-something woman with pure, unfiltered disgust.

"You pushed her," Damian stated clinically, his deep voice carrying a freezing, lethal frequency.

"So what if I did?!" Celeste scoffed loudly, crossing her arms over her black gown. "She's a clumsy, worthless little girl who spilled champagne on my designer shoes! She deserves to crawl on the floor!"

👉 Damian’s dark eyes narrowed into lethal slits, entirely ready to drop a nuclear bomb on her perfect evening.
