Chapter 3 - The Pieces Connect

Silas stood up slowly. The cinematic realism of his shifting micro-expressions revealed a man fighting to keep the apocalyptic monster inside him contained.

His mind raced, violently connecting the missing puzzle pieces of the last three years.

He remembered the agonizing night of the warehouse explosion. Vivienne, who had been Elena's closest confidante and business partner, was the one who had "bravely" gone into the wreckage and emerged with Elena’s charred wedding ring. In his blinding grief, Silas had trusted her. Vivienne had comforted him, slowly sliding into his life, isolating him from his old loyal crew, and taking absolute control over the estate's sprawling financial ledgers.

Vivienne didn't have toxic mold experts working in the East Wing. She had armed mercenaries.

Silas looked down at the innocent little girl in the pink dress. He realized the horrifying, unspeakable truth: Vivienne had orchestrated the entire explosion to fake Elena’s death and steal his empire.

He gently picked Lily up, holding her securely against his chest, refusing to let the panic show on his face.
