Chapter 10 - The Ultimate Justice

The violent, lethal response of the mafia boss was absolute, immediate, and entirely uncompromising.
Before Silas could even raise the barrel of his weapon, Dominic lunged across the white-clothed table with terrifying, explosive speed. He grabbed Silas by the throat, violently slamming the advisor backward onto the polished marble floor, completely shattering the crystal glassware and plates.
"Take him to the warehouse!" Dominic roared, his voice shaking the crystal chandeliers above, filled with the devastating, agonizing wrath of a betrayed husband and a protective father. "Do not let him die until I get there!"
The two massive bodyguards descended instantly, violently disarming the screaming, terrified advisor and dragging him brutally out the back service doors of the restaurant, sealing his dark, agonizing fate in the criminal underworld.
With the monster finally removed, Dominic slowly stood up, his broad chest heaving. He looked down at his trembling, weeping daughter.
Dominic immediately dropped to his knees on the wet marble floor, wrapping his strong arms fiercely around Audrey, pulling her tightly against his chest in a desperate, overwhelmingly emotional embrace. For the first time in six months, Audrey hugged him back, burying her face into his shoulder, completely safe, knowing her nightmare was finally over.
Dominic looked up at Claire. The terrifying mob boss's eyes were filled with profound, unreserved, and deeply humbling gratitude.
Claire did not return to waiting tables. Dominic immediately bought out the remainder of her expensive city lease and completely paid off her family's debts. He officially hired Claire as Audrey's permanent, highly-paid guardian, translator, and private tutor, moving her into the absolute safety of the heavily fortified Vale estate.
One year later, the dark shadows of the silent prison were completely gone.
Claire sat in the sunlit garden of the luxury estate, smiling warmly as Audrey ran happily across the grass, fluently signing a funny story to her father. Dominic sat nearby, his dark eyes entirely soft, watching his daughter thrive.
