Chapter 9 - The Final Judgment

The heavy steel doors of the private elevator slid open.
Four of Dominic's massive, heavily tattooed enforcers stepped directly into the penthouse. Their tactical suits were covered in dust and debris, but they looked entirely victorious. They completely bypassed Dominic and marched straight toward the weeping, disgraced woman in the red dress.
"The threat is entirely neutralized, boss," the lead enforcer barked loudly, grabbing Serena aggressively by the arms. "The Marcone hit squad is completely eliminated."
Serena let out a horrific, apocalyptic shriek of pure terror as the massive men forcefully hauled her to her feet.
"Dominic, no! I love you!" Serena shrieked wildly, thrashing violently in their grip as her elegant updo completely unraveled. "I was a good mother to Rose! Please, don't let them take me!"
Dominic finally looked at her. His natural micro-expressions didn't show a single ounce of pity or mercy. She was nothing but a toxic parasite that he had successfully surgically removed from his home.
"Take her to the holding cells at the harbor," Dominic commanded ruthlessly, turning his back on her. "Make sure she never sees the sun again."
