Chapter 8 - The Financial Slaughter

Within two minutes, the hacker confirmed it.
"She wired two hundred thousand dollars to a cartel cleaner exactly forty-eight hours after your son was born, Boss," the voice echoed through the phone speaker.
Vincent hung up the phone. He looked down at the weeping, shattered woman tied to the chair. The high-society socialite was completely gone, replaced by a desperate, feral coward.
"You tried to murder the mother of my child," Vincent whispered lethally, the sheer demonic wrath radiating from his body making the room feel freezing cold.
"I did it for us!" Claudia shrieked like a banshee, thrashing wildly against the ropes. "I wanted to be his only mother! I wanted to be your queen! You need me!"
"I don't need a parasite," Vincent replied, completely devoid of human empathy.
Vincent didn't pull a gun. A bullet was too quick for a woman who tried to destroy his family.
"Drain every single offshore account she has," Vincent commanded his lead bodyguard. "Transfer every dime into a secure trust fund for Emma. Then, hand Claudia over to the cartel cleaner she hired. Tell them she was the one who tipped the feds off to their last shipment. Let them deal with her."
"No! Vincent, have mercy!" Claudia wailed pathetically, kicking her expensive heels as the guards dragged her chair toward the back alley exit. "I love you!"
"You only loved my money," Vincent stated, turning his back on her entirely.
