Chapter 6 - The Apex Predator Steps Out
Camilla aggressively raised her hand, reaching out to grab Lucas by the arm and physically drag him away from the maid.
"Get over here right now!" Camilla yelled at the child.
She never made contact.
A massive, heavy hand shot out of the shadows, intercepting Camilla’s wrist with bone-crushing, terrifying force.
Camilla gasped in shock, spinning around.
Dominic stepped fully out of the doorway. The sad, moved father was completely gone. The terrifying, absolutely lethal mafia boss had returned. His dark blue suit seemed to absorb the light in the hallway. He glared down at his fiancé with an expression so cold, so entirely devoid of mercy, that the temperature in the room instantly plummeted.
"Dominic, darling!" Camilla stammered, her arrogant fury instantly melting into sheer, breathless panic as he slowly twisted her wrist. "The boy destroyed the antique statue! I was just disciplining him!"
"You don't touch my son," Dominic growled. His voice was a demonic, vibrating whisper that echoed off the white columns. "And you certainly don't raise your voice in my home."
He violently shoved her wrist away, making Camilla stumble backward in her expensive high heels.
