Chapter 10 - The Family Reborn

The fallout from the gala was swift and absolute.

Marco Moretti was never seen again. He was quietly stripped of all his assets, excommunicated from the syndicate, and vanished into the dark, exactly as a traitor to the family deserved. The rival syndicate that Marco had colluded with was systematically dismantled by Luca’s forces within a week.

Hannah moved into the sprawling, heavily guarded Moretti estate. She didn't just become the head of medical operations; she became the warm, maternal presence that the dark, lonely mansion so desperately needed.

Under Hannah's continued care and physical therapy, Sophia's legs grew stronger every single day. The pink wheelchair was permanently locked away in a storage closet, never to be used again.

Luca fundamentally changed. The terrifying, cold mafia boss who lived only for power began to leave his meetings early. He spent his afternoons in the estate gardens, watching his beautiful daughter run across the grass, laughing and chasing butterflies.

One bright Sunday afternoon, Luca sat on a patio chair, watching Sophia play. Hannah walked out holding a tray with two cups of coffee, smiling warmly as she handed one to the terrifying boss.

Luca looked at the gentle, brilliant woman who had risked her life to save his family. He realized that the greatest power in the world wasn't fear or money, but the fierce, unshakeable love of someone willing to fight in the dark to bring a child back into the light.

Do you think Luca’s punishment for his brother was justified, or did Marco deserve to be handed over to the police?
