Chapter 6 - The Tactical Silence

Jack didn't waste another second. He turned to his lead bodyguard standing in the doorway.
"Clear this entire floor," Jack commanded smoothly. "Bring in my private medical team from the estate. I want a mobile ICU set up in this room in ten minutes. Nobody gets in, nobody gets out. You guard my wife and my daughter with your lives. If anyone unauthorized comes within a hundred feet of this building, shoot them."
The guard nodded sharply. "Yes, Boss."
Jack turned back to Clara. He didn't try to hug her or force his presence on her. He knew he had to earn her trust back after the psychological torture she had endured.
He crouched down one last time, looking at little Mia, who was still holding the white rose from his garden.
"You keep that rose, Mia," Jack smiled faintly, a genuine warmth touching his scarred face. "I'll bring you a hundred more."
Jack turned and walked out of the clinic, his heavily tattooed arms flexing as he adjusted his white dress shirt. The tactical silence was officially over. It was time for the execution.
He climbed into the back of his armored luxury car. "Take me back to the mansion," Jack ordered the driver.
An hour later, Jack walked through the grand front doors of his estate.
The foyer was bustling with wedding planners, caterers, and florists. Tomorrow was supposed to be the massive, high-society wedding between Jack and Victoria, solidifying their two powerful syndicates forever.
Standing in the center of the room, yelling at a terrified florist, was Victoria. She wore a stunning, blood-red silk designer dress, looking every bit the arrogant, untouchable queen she believed she was.

"I said white roses!" Victoria shrieked, completely oblivious to the monster standing behind her.
