Chapter 8 - The Financial Guillotine

Julian didn't pull the trigger.

A quick, painless death in the basement was far too merciful for a monster who had burned an innocent woman alive. Julian lowered his weapon, a cold, ruthless smirk appearing on his face.

"I'm not going to shoot you, Victor," Julian said softly.

Victor let out a massive, shuddering breath of relief, genuinely believing his cousin's mercy had saved him.

But the relief lasted exactly three seconds.

The heavy steel door of the cellar swung open. Four of Julian’s most elite, heavily armed enforcers marched into the room.

"While you were busy gloating to the maid," Julian explained smoothly, "my cyber-team accessed your private laptop in the study. We transferred every single dollar of your stolen millions directly into Amara's trust fund. We liquidated your assets. You are completely, permanently bankrupt."

All the color vanished from Victor’s face.

"And I also found the digital ledger proving you embezzled heavily from the Chicago cartel to fund your coup against me," Julian added, his voice dropping into a lethal register. "I just forwarded that ledger directly to their boss."

"No!" Victor shrieked hysterically, scrambling backward on the concrete floor. "Julian, they'll skin me alive! Please!"

"Take him," Julian commanded his guards, completely devoid of mercy. "Strip him of his suit, his watch, and his phone. Throw him directly onto the front steps of the Chicago cartel headquarters. Let them handle the rat."

The massive guards violently dragged the screaming, thrashing traitor out of the cellar. His desperate cries for mercy faded down the corridor until the heavy doors slammed shut, swallowing his existence into violent ruin forever.

👉 The monster was permanently eradicated, leaving Julian to turn his attention to the woman who had saved his entire universe.
