Chapter 5 - The Shattered Gate
A massive, incredibly heavy steel pickup truck violently rammed straight through the heavily reinforced iron gates of the luxury estate, completely tearing the multi-million-dollar security system off its hinges.
The truck aggressively tore up the pristine, manicured front lawn, skidding to a violent halt directly in front of the grand entrance.
Leo kicked his truck door open. The rugged, working-class father didn't look like a defeated, broken man anymore. He radiated the crushing, undeniable, and absolutely terrifying authority of a true apex predator defending his cub.
He sprinted up the marble steps and violently kicked the heavy front doors open, shattering the expensive glass panes into a million pieces.
"Daddy!" Maisie shrieked loudly, her watery eyes flooding with pure, unadulterated relief. She tried to run toward him, but her heavy gray medical boot made her stumble.
Arthur didn't panic. The arrogant billionaire surgeon didn't even drop his gold fountain pen. He simply sat back into his velvet armchair, crossing his tailored legs with a cold, mocking smile.
"You are incredibly stupid, Leo," Arthur whispered smoothly, entirely unbothered by the violent intrusion.
Leo completely ignored the billionaire. He rushed forward and scooped his weeping six-year-old daughter into his arms, holding her tightly against his worn canvas jacket.
"I've got you, sweetie," Leo choked out, kissing her blonde hair. "I'm right here."

"How sweet," Arthur sneered aggressively. "But you're about five minutes too late. You violated a federal restraining order, destroyed my property, and broke into my home. The police are already pulling into the driveway."
👉 Leo turned around to see the intense red and blue emergency lights flooding through the shattered front doors, realizing he had walked directly into a massive trap.
