Chapter 6 - The Arrogant Trap

Heavy, wailing police sirens aggressively shattered the quiet suburban morning.

Four heavily armed police officers sprinted through the shattered front doors of the mansion, their hands resting cautiously on their weapons. Arthur instantly, flawlessly dropped his terrifying, cruel persona. The billionaire surgeon shifted his facial micro-expressions to look like a deeply traumatized, terrified victim.

"Officers, thank God you're here!" Arthur panicked loudly, dramatically pointing a trembling finger at Leo. "This man is my wife's violently unstable ex-husband! He has a restraining order! He just crashed his truck through my gates and is trying to kidnap my stepdaughter!"

The lead police officer, instantly recognizing the wealthy, elite hospital director, aggressively marched up to Leo.

"Put the child down right now," the officer barked loudly, grabbing Leo by the shoulder.

"He pushed Clara down the stairs!" Leo roared fiercely, his chest heaving with absolute rage. "He put her in a coma! He's trying to kill her for her trust fund!"

"He's completely delusional!" Arthur wailed hysterically, completely playing the elite corporate officers like a fiddle. "My wife fell! It was a tragic accident! Please, get this monster out of my house before he hurts the little girl!"

The officers didn't care about Leo's accusations. They aggressively grabbed his arms, forcefully ripping the weeping little girl out of his embrace. They slammed Leo face-first onto the marble floor, violently snapping heavy steel handcuffs around his wrists.

Arthur walked slowly over to the restrained father, leaning down to whisper directly into his ear.

"I'm going to pull her plug in ten minutes," Arthur whispered coldly, entirely devoid of human mercy. "And you are going to rot in a prison cell while I spend her fifty million dollars."

👉 Leo squeezed his eyes shut in absolute defeat, completely unaware that his six-year-old daughter was about to detonate a nuclear bomb.
