Chapter 10 - The True Family

The chaotic, violent energy completely evaporated from the estate.
Alessandro turned around and walked back to Sofia. He gently wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her into a warm, unbreakable embrace. He rested his chin on her head, listening to her steady heartbeat, thanking God that the nightmare was finally over.
"Let's go home, amore mio," Alessandro whispered, kissing her hair.
He turned to look at Maria and little Lily, who were standing quietly near the doorway.
Alessandro walked over and dropped to one knee right in front of the six-year-old girl. He didn't see a maid's daughter; he saw the bravest soldier in his entire empire.
"You saved my life, Lily," Alessandro smiled warmly. "And you gave me back my wife."
"I just gave you the necklace," Lily said innocently.
"You gave me a miracle," Alessandro corrected her. He looked up at Maria. "You are no longer maids in this house. Your debts are cleared. I am setting up a trust fund for Lily's education, and you are buying a beautiful house wherever you want to live. You are under my absolute protection forever."
Maria broke down into heavy, beautiful sobs of relief, hugging her daughter tightly.
In the months that followed, Sofia fully recovered her health, returning to her rightful place as the queen of the syndicate. Alessandro purged his entire organization, ensuring absolute loyalty and unbreakable safety.
