Chapter 2 - The Cold Realization

The wealthy guests in the blurred background erupted into cruel, echoing laughter.
They raised their wine glasses, cheering Louis on as he publicly degraded his own father. Louis puffed out his chest, completely fueled by his toxic ego and Carla’s validation.
A tight cinematic close-up captured Ernest’s face. The initial sting of profound humiliation slowly evaporated. The heartbroken, confused father completely vanished. His dark eyes hardened, shifting into a look of cold, quiet, and terrifying realization.
He didn't yell. He didn't flip the metal bowl over.
Ernest had spent the last two years staying quietly in the basement of this house, trying to give his son space to grow into a man. He had ignored the late-night parties, the disrespectful comments, and the arrogant spending habits. He had hoped Louis would eventually mature.
But looking at the dog food, Ernest realized Louis wasn't a misguided young man. He was a monster.
And Louis had absolutely no idea who he was actually messing with.
Ernest calmly reached out and picked up the metal dog bowl. He didn't throw it. He simply held it in his calloused hands.
"Enjoy your dinner, Louis," Ernest stated smoothly, completely unbothered by the mocking laughter.
