Chapter 5 - The Police Raid

The blinding flash of red and blue lights suddenly illuminated the large dining room windows, completely overpowering the warm interior lighting.

The heavy, wailing sound of multiple police sirens shattered the loud music.

Louis stopped pouring the champagne. He frowned, looking toward the front door. "Who the hell called in a noise complaint?"

Before Louis could even step off his chair, the heavy front door was violently pushed open.

Six armed police officers marched directly into the house. They didn't look like they were there to write a simple noise ticket. They looked entirely prepared to execute a full-scale eviction.

The music was abruptly cut. The laughing guests froze in absolute, suffocating panic.

"Everyone freeze!" the lead officer barked, his voice echoing through the dining room. "This is a private residence, and you are all currently trespassing!"

Louis jumped down from his chair, his face flushing with arrogant, toxic entitlement. He marched directly up to the lead officer, completely unaware of the legal trap he was standing in.

"Excuse me?!" Louis yelled aggressively. "You can't just bust in here! I am the owner of this house! This is my property, and you are illegally ruining my dinner party!"

The lead officer didn't flinch. He simply looked past the screaming young man.
