Chapter 10 - The Peaceful Estate

In the months that followed, Valeria was completely banished from the criminal underworld, forced to work a minimum-wage job in a distant city, entirely stripped of her designer clothes and her toxic power.
Dante completely secured his empire, ruling with absolute, disciplined authority. He didn't marry for power. He built a fortress of absolute loyalty around the people who actually mattered.
A year later, the grand luxury estate was bathed in bright, beautiful morning sunlight.
Dante sat on the vast stone patio overlooking the pristine gardens. He wasn't wearing a sharp black suit. He wore a relaxed, comfortable grey sweater, sipping an espresso with a genuine, warm smile on his handsome face.
He wasn't sitting alone.
Down on the lush green grass, little Sophie, now six years old, was running happily in her red dress. And running right beside her, matching her joyful energy perfectly, was Bruno. The massive Doberman was no longer a broken, vicious guard dog—he was a completely happy, fiercely protective best friend.

Dante watched them play, his heart swelling with an overwhelming, unshakeable peace. The nightmare was completely over, proving that true strength isn't found in terrifying the people around you—it is found in having the courage to protect the innocent, and letting a little girl teach you how to love again.
Do you think getting disowned and thrown out was enough justice for Valeria, or did the cruel fiancée deserve a harsher punishment for kicking the dog?
