Chapter 5 - The Captured Assassin

The elite syndicate enforcers moved with terrifying, blinding speed.

They didn't wait for the local police. They violently shoved through the fleeing crowd, sealing off the main iron gates of the luxury marina. The thick black smoke from the yacht poured across the sparkling coastal water, creating a chaotic, suffocating fog.

Within ninety seconds, the lead enforcer spotted him.

A man in a blue baseball cap was sprinting desperately toward a parked motorcycle near the service exit. He was violently tackled to the concrete before he could even reach for his keys.

The enforcers dragged the thrashing, panicking assassin right back down the stone promenade.

They didn't bring him to the police. They brought him directly to Adrian.

The assassin was violently forced to his knees on the stone balustrade, right in front of the burning mega-yacht. He was bleeding from a split lip, hyperventilating in sheer, paralyzing terror as he looked up at the mafia boss he had just failed to kill.

Adrian stood tall in his tailored suit. He gently motioned for Rachel to take Elsie away, ensuring the little girl wouldn't see the horrific violence that was about to unfold.

Adrian looked down at the assassin. He didn't yell. The cinematic realism of his total restraint was infinitely more terrifying.
