Chapter 10 - The Flood of Karma

"Excellent," Arthur smiled warmly, placing a hand on Evan's shoulder. "Let's get out of here. I'll buy you a steak."
As Evan turned to leave with the billionaire, a loud, ominous cracking sound echoed from the wall directly behind Cassandra.
Cassandra looked up, her expensive mascara ruined by her frantic tears. "What... what was that noise?" she whimpered.
Evan paused in the hallway, putting his black cap back on his head. He didn't look back at her, but his voice carried perfectly into the boardroom.
"That was the water main," Evan said calmly. "I told you it was going to crack in ten minutes."
Before Cassandra could even stand up, the drywall behind the presentation screen violently burst open. A massive, high-pressure geyser of freezing, dirty pipe water exploded into the conference room. It shattered the presentation screen, blasted across the formal dining setup, and completely soaked Cassandra’s expensive black designer dress.
The elite board members screamed in panic, scrambling over their chairs as the filthy water rapidly flooded the expensive carpet. Cassandra stood in the middle of the chaos, drenched, humiliated, and utterly ruined.

Evan and Arthur walked calmly toward the elevator, leaving the arrogant CEO to deal with the disaster she had created by refusing to let a working man do his job.
If you were in Arthur’s position, would you have destroyed a multi-million-dollar deal just to defend the honor of a working-class hero?
