Chapter 4 - The Shocked Investor

"Wait!"
The desperate voice belonged to Arthur Vance. He was a 60-year-old billionaire investor with silver-gray hair, wearing an impeccable dark suit. Arthur was the exact man Cassandra had spent the last six months desperately trying to impress. His signature on the contract was the only thing that could save her failing company from total bankruptcy.
Arthur suddenly stood up from the formal dining table with such force that his heavy leather chair crashed backward onto the carpet.
He ignored Cassandra completely. He ignored the glowing presentation screen. He pointed a trembling, manicured finger directly at the man in the dirty blue jumpsuit.
"That's him!" Arthur gasped, his eyes wide with absolute, unadulterated shock.
Cassandra’s mocking laughter abruptly stopped. She froze in place, the crystal champagne glass hovering near her lips. She turned toward the billionaire investor in complete confusion, her perfectly styled blonde updo suddenly feeling very out of place in the heavy atmosphere.
"Arthur?" Cassandra asked, forcing a polite, nervous smile onto her face. "What are you talking about? That's just the building mechanic. He’s leaving right now."

But Arthur wasn't looking at Cassandra. He was staring at Evan with an expression that looked like he had just witnessed a miracle. The entire boardroom fell dead silent. You could hear a pin drop on the expensive carpet.
