Chapter 1 - The Hallway Humiliation

The sprawling, luxurious American suburban home was echoing with the clinking of crystal wine glasses and the loud, pretentious laughter of wealthy dinner guests. The living room was bathed in warm, expensive lighting, showcasing flawless white trim and imported hardwood floors.

But tucked away in the shadowed hallway, a brutal, humiliating confrontation was silently unfolding.

Albert, a sixty-eight-year-old man with dignified grey hair, stood near the edge of the hallway. He wore a simple, faded green jacket, a worn plaid shirt, and basic khaki pants. He had just stepped out of his bedroom to get a glass of water from the kitchen, accidentally wandering into the edge of his daughter-in-law's extravagant high-society dinner party.

Standing directly in his path was Chelsea.

Chelsea was in her early thirties, wearing a stunning, fitted red wrap dress. Her arms were crossed tightly over her chest, and her face was twisted into a mask of pure, unadulterated disgust. She looked at her father-in-law not as a human being, but as a filthy stray dog that had just ruined her pristine aesthetic.

Without raising her voice, she aggressively pointed a perfectly manicured finger toward the dark staircase.

"Go upstairs," Chelsea ordered coldly, her voice dripping with toxic venom. "You're making people uncomfortable."

Albert physically flinched. The cinematic realism of the absolute disrespect hung heavy in the air. He wasn't doing anything wrong. He was simply existing in the house he helped pay for.
