Chapter 9 - The Ultimate Eviction

The next forty-eight hours were a blur of absolute, humiliating panic.

Logan frantically called his father's phone hundreds of times, leaving desperate, weeping voicemails, begging for forgiveness and asking for just one more wire transfer to save their home.

Every single call went straight to voicemail.

Chelsea desperately reached out to the wealthy friends she had hosted at the dinner party, begging for a short-term loan. The absolute second they realized she and Logan were actually broke, they completely blocked her number, treating her like the exact same garbage she had treated Albert like.

On Friday morning, the heavy front doors were violently thrown open by county sheriffs.

The officers didn't care about Chelsea's red designer dresses. They marched through the pristine white trim and hardwood floors, systematically forcing the weeping, screaming couple out of the house.

"You can't do this!" Chelsea wailed hysterically as a deputy physically grabbed her arm and herded her onto the front porch. "We are prominent members of this community! Where are we supposed to go?!"

"That sounds like a personal problem, ma'am," the deputy replied coldly, locking the heavy deadbolt behind them.

Logan stood on the driveway in his blue blazer, entirely stripped of his wealth, his pride, and his home. They had absolutely nothing but the clothes on their backs. They were completely, irreversibly bankrupt.

👉 While Logan and Chelsea stood shivering on the curb, Albert was miles away, finally claiming the peace he deserved.
