Chapter 10 - The Repaired Bear

The chaotic, toxic energy was entirely dragged out of the grand estate.
Elena screamed and cried in total, undeniable disgrace as she was forcefully hauled out the front doors. She was officially sentenced to thirty years in a federal penitentiary. Without the cartel's protection and completely exposed by Dante's footage, she became entirely invisible, forced to rot in a concrete cell while the world forgot she ever existed.
The heavy mahogany doors slammed shut, plunging the drawing room back into a profound, beautiful peace.
Dante took a slow, deep breath. The cold, ruthless apex predator completely vanished.
Anna nervously walked back into the room, holding Sophie's hand. The little girl's eyes immediately lit up when she saw Dante holding Mr. Buttons.
Dante dropped to one knee on the marble floor. He gently handed the perfectly stitched teddy bear back to his daughter.
"He's all fixed, Sophie," Dante smiled, a genuine, breathtaking warmth returning to his handsome face. "And you were right. Rex was a very good boy. He didn't do it."
Sophie hugged the bear tightly, giggling as Rex the Doberman trotted over and gently nuzzled her hand.
Dante stood up and looked at Anna, the terrified maid. He immediately tripled her salary and promoted her to Head of the Household, ensuring she would never have to fear for her job again. Dante had survived the absolute worst betrayal imaginable, protected his daughter, and emerged completely, undeniably victorious.
