Chapter 8 - The Arrogant Traitor

The grand drawing room was suffocatingly quiet.

Elena was sitting on the luxury sofa in her red silk dress, elegantly sipping another glass of expensive champagne. She kept glancing nervously at the vintage grandfather clock, eagerly waiting to hear the violent sounds of gunfire echoing from the kitchen. She genuinely believed she was seconds away from inheriting Dante's massive fortune.

Dante walked into the room, holding the repaired teddy bear. He looked completely unbothered, radiating his usual crushing, undeniable authority.

"You fixed it," Elena smiled, her voice dripping with fake, toxic sweetness as she stood up to greet him. "You're such a good father, Dante. I don't know how you have the patience for that child's drama."

"I have a lot of patience, Elena," Dante whispered smoothly, stopping exactly three feet away from her.

He didn't hand her the bear. Instead, Dante casually picked up a sleek remote from the coffee table. He pressed a single button. The massive, eighty-inch flat-screen television mounted on the ornate wall instantly hummed to life.

Elena’s arrogant smile violently faltered. She stared at the screen, her heart physically stopping in her chest.

The screen wasn't playing a movie. It was displaying a paused, crystal-clear, high-definition image of her holding a pair of silver scissors, violently stabbing the stuffed animal.

👉 Dante pressed play, forcing the traitor to watch her own absolute, apocalyptic execution.
