Chapter 7 - The Silent Lockdown

Dante dialed a highly encrypted number. His Head of Security, stationed in the basement command center, answered immediately.

"Elena unlocked the side kitchen gate," Dante commanded, his voice a freezing, lethal frequency that demanded absolute obedience. "A hit squad is coming through at exactly nine. Do not sound the alarms. Do not lock the gates. Let them walk directly into the foyer, and then execute every single one of them. Silently."

"Understood, Boss," the security chief replied coldly.

Dante hung up the phone. He didn't reach for a weapon. He reached into his desk drawer, pulled out a needle and thick black thread, and spent the next ten minutes meticulously, perfectly stitching the ripped fabric of Sophie's teddy bear back together.

He operated with the absolute, terrifying calm of an apex predator who had already secured his victory.

At exactly nine o'clock, sitting in his soundproof office, Dante's phone lit up with a single text message from his security team: Trash removed.

The hit squad had been completely, brutally eradicated before they even made it past the kitchen corridor. Elena's massive, ten-million-dollar betrayal had completely, catastrophically failed, and she had absolutely no idea.
