Chapter 9 - The Execution of Justice

"Turn it off!" Vanessa shrieked in the ballroom, clawing at her own face in utter panic. "Dominic, I'm sorry! I panicked! Please, I love you!"

Dominic clicked the remote, and the screen went black. He slowly stepped forward to the edge of the stage, towering over the groveling woman.

"You don't know what love is," Dominic whispered, his voice vibrating with a lethal intensity. He looked at Marco, who was sobbing uncontrollably on his knees. "And you... you watched a child break her back, and you just smiled. You thought you could come into my home, break my world, and then laugh at me today?"

Dominic looked at his guards. He didn't need to shout an order. A single, sharp nod was all it took.

The enforcers dragged Marco up by his collar, dragging him backward toward the exit doors. Marco screamed, kicking his legs, begging for his life, but his cries were entirely ignored. Two more guards grabbed Vanessa by her designer dress, lifting her off the floor.

"Where are you taking us?!" Vanessa sobbed hysterically. "Dominic, please! Send me to jail! Let me call a lawyer!"

"You aren't going to jail," Dominic said coldly, turning his back on her. "You are going to a very deep, very dark hole where neither of you will ever see the sun again."
