Chapter 1 - The Public Execution

The upscale American restaurant was a breathtaking sanctuary of elite, untouchable wealth. Located high above the bustling city streets, massive floor-to-ceiling glass windows offered a spectacular, glittering skyline view. The warm, inviting glow of elegant gold accents reflected flawlessly off perfectly polished crystal wine glasses, creating an atmosphere built entirely on quiet, old-money privilege. It was the kind of establishment where a single dinner cost more than a month's rent.
But that pristine, absolute silence was currently being violently, aggressively shattered.
Sophie, a twenty-four-year-old brunette waitress, stood completely frozen in the dead center of the main dining room. She was wearing a crisp, tailored white button-down shirt and a standard black apron. Her hands shook violently at her sides.
Towering aggressively over her was Brenda, the forty-five-year-old restaurant manager. Wearing a sharp, expensive black suit decorated with heavy gold buttons, Brenda’s face was twisted into a horrific mask of pure, unadulterated malice. She wasn't just disciplining a subordinate employee; she was actively, brutally humiliating her in front of the city's most powerful, wealthy elites.
"Take off your apron right now!" Brenda screamed, her shrill, toxic voice echoing sharply off the expensive glass windows. "You are completely, utterly useless! You're fired! Get out of my restaurant!"
A few feet away, sitting entirely alone at a dimly lit VIP corner table, was Adrien.

He was in his late thirties, wearing a perfectly tailored, dark blue suit with a crisp white open-collared shirt. He was devastatingly handsome, radiating a terrifying, quiet authority. He calmly held a cigarette between his fingers, taking a slow drag.
👉 Brenda sneered at the trembling waitress, completely unaware that the silent man in the blue suit was meticulously calculating her ultimate destruction.
