Chapter 7 - The True Boss

Daniel flipped the heavy black metal card into the air. It landed squarely on the polished marble floor right at Coleman’s feet.
The manager looked down. Engraved in solid gold lettering on the black metal were two words that made his heart completely stop beating.
Daniel Sterling. CEO & Founder.
Coleman staggered backward, his knees actually giving out as he collapsed against the heavy wooden reception desk. The man he had just called a biological hazard, the man he had just threatened to have arrested, was the billionaire owner of the entire Sterling Group empire.
“You… you live in London,” Coleman gasped, his chest heaving as the reality of his complete destruction set in.
“I flew in yesterday,” Daniel said coldly, buttoning the cuffs of his pristine white shirt. “My auditors noticed the discrepancies in the payroll accounts three weeks ago. But I didn't want to just read a report. I wanted to see exactly how the man stealing my money was treating the people who actually run my hotel.”
Daniel took a slow step toward the terrified manager.

“I sat on this floor for two hours,” Daniel continued, his voice echoing in the silent lobby. “I watched you ignore guests. I watched you belittle the cleaning staff. And I watched you fire a young girl simply because she treated a human being with basic dignity.”
