The lobby doors slid shut, sealing Coleman’s terrifying fate forever. The heavy tension in the room instantly evaporated, leaving behind a profound sense of shock and awe.
Daniel slowly picked up his worn leather bag. He turned around and walked over to Emily. The 20-year-old girl was still standing behind the reception desk, trembling, entirely overwhelmed by what she had just witnessed.
“Mr. Sterling… sir,” Emily stammered, frantically trying to wipe the tears from her face. “I am so sorry, I didn't know who you were.”
Daniel offered her a warm, genuine smile. The terrifying billionaire vanished, replaced by a man of deep respect and gratitude.
“You didn't need to know who I was, Emily,” Daniel said gently. “You saw a man who looked like he had nothing, and you risked your own livelihood to protect him. That is exactly the kind of leadership this hotel desperately needs.”
Daniel placed the thick financial folder on the desk in front of her.
“As of this exact second, you are not fired,” Daniel announced, ensuring the remaining staff could hear him. “In fact, you are the new interim manager of this location. Your first duty is to work with corporate HR to ensure every single employee receives the back pay Coleman stole from them, with a twenty percent bonus for their suffering.”
