Chapter 10 - The Captain's Hat

The airplane cabin was beautifully, perfectly quiet.
The Captain completely ignored the terrified billionaires. He turned his full attention back to the beautiful mother and daughter standing in the aisle.
A tight close-up captured little Poppy. The sweet seven-year-old girl in the pink floral dress hugged her white stuffed bunny tightly against her chest. She wasn't scared of the police or the screaming man. She looked up at her mother with sheer, unadulterated, glowing pride.
"Mommy," Poppy whispered, her big blue eyes shining with absolute admiration. "He saluted you."
Margaret smiled a genuine, breathtakingly warm smile, gently stroking her daughter's blonde hair. "He did, sweetheart."
The Captain knelt down directly in front of the little girl, completely dropping his terrifying, authoritative glare. He reached up and gently took off his crisp, navy blue captain's hat, placing it carefully on Poppy's tiny head.
"Your mother is a true American hero, Poppy," the Captain said softly, his voice carrying profound, undeniable warmth. "And it is an absolute honor to fly you both today."
Poppy giggled happily, adjusting the massive hat, completely safe and fiercely protected.

Margaret took her first-class seat, completely, undeniably victorious. The toxic parasite was gone, replaced by a flight built on absolute truth, undeniable courage, and perfect, unconditional justice.
If you were Margaret, would you have allowed the businessman to stay on the plane if he begged, or was having him forcefully dragged off the absolute perfect revenge?
