Chapter 5 - The Formal Salute

The cinematic realism of the breathtaking, heavy tension completely paralyzed the entire first-class cabin.

The Captain stood perfectly straight, completely dominating the massive cabin without even raising his voice. He brought his right hand up in a crisp, flawless, and incredibly sharp military salute.

"General," the Captain announced, his deep voice carrying a freezing, lethal frequency of absolute respect that sliced right through the ambient noise of the airplane.

The arrogant businessman’s jaw literally unhinged. All the color violently drained from his flawless face, leaving him looking like a terrified ghost.

The wealthy passengers gasped in absolute shock, their powdered faces turning pale with sheer, unadulterated terror. They realized they hadn't just insulted a disabled mother; they had actively, maliciously mocked one of the highest-ranking military commanders in the United States.

A tight close-up captured Margaret. She didn't look angry. She was deeply moved by the unexpected gesture. She smiled a profoundly warm, beautiful smile and placed her hand gently over her heart to acknowledge the Captain's respect.

"Thank you, Captain," Margaret whispered softly. "But I'm just a mother today. Call me Margaret."

"It is an absolute honor to have you on my aircraft, ma'am," the Captain replied flawlessly, dropping his salute.
