Chapter 1 - The Rainy Eviction

The upscale Philadelphia Italian restaurant was a cinematic display of extreme wealth and exclusivity. Crystal chandeliers glowed with warm, golden candlelight, reflecting off pristine white tablecloths and polished wine glasses. Outside, a freezing, brutal rainstorm battered the dark city streets.
Near the front entrance, a heartbreaking scene of absolute cruelty was unfolding.
A desperate mother in her thirties, wearing a worn, soaked brown coat, stood shivering near the host stand. Her dark hair was completely damp from the rain. She was holding the hand of her six-year-old daughter, who was wrapped in a cheap yellow raincoat. They didn't belong in this luxury establishment, and the staff was making sure they knew it.
A twenty-two-year-old waitress, wearing a crisp white shirt, black vest, and bowtie, glared at the poor family with pure, toxic disgust.
The waitress aggressively pointed a manicured finger toward the heavy glass exit door.
"I'm sorry," the waitress sneered, her voice dripping with arrogant, cold hostility. "We're fully booked. And we don't serve charity cases. Get out before you ruin the atmosphere for our paying guests."

Watching this entire interaction from a private, dimly lit corner booth was Ricci. He was a dangerous, fiercely handsome man in his late thirties wearing a dark, expensive suit. He sat completely silent, flanked by two towering, intimidating bodyguards in dark ties.
