Cecilia let out a small, trembling breath. She had actually won. She had beaten the most ruthless billionaire in the city at his own game.
But before Roman could call his lawyers to draft the transfer, the heavy double doors of the corporate office violently burst open.
A woman in her thirties marched into the room, wearing a sharp, custom-tailored crimson power suit. It was Vivian—Roman’s ruthless stepmother and the majority shareholder of his rival corporate faction. She was flanked by two massive, intimidating corporate security guards.
Vivian glared at Cecilia’s pregnant belly with absolute, toxic disgust.
"How touching," Vivian sneered arrogantly. "But unfortunately, this little charade of a marriage is officially over."
Roman instantly stepped in front of Cecilia, his body forming an impenetrable, muscular shield. The cold, disciplined billionaire violently returned, radiating pure, demonic wrath.
"Get out of my office, Vivian," Roman growled, his voice a low, terrifying rumble.

"I just uncovered the massive, illegal wire fraud you committed to hide Cecilia’s family debt from the board of directors. You broke federal trading laws to buy her."
