Mark never finished the sentence.
Arthur lunged forward with blinding, explosive speed. He grabbed the collar of Mark's crisp white button-down shirt, yanking the younger man violently forward off the white leather couch.
Before Mark could even raise his hands to defend himself, Arthur drove a devastating, bone-crushing punch directly into the center of Mark's handsome face.
The loud CRACK of the impact echoed through the room.
The punch was so powerful it knocked Mark entirely off balance. His head snapped backward, and the crystal glass of whiskey flew from his hand. The glass shattered spectacularly against the brick fireplace, sending sharp shards and amber liquid exploding across the floor.
