Chapter 7 - The True Heir

The cinematic realism of the moment was absolutely paralyzing.
Luca didn't scream at his mother. He didn't flip the mahogany table. The absolute, terrifying restraint he showed was infinitely more dangerous than a violent outburst.
He completely bypassed the arrogance of his immense wealth and the toxic pride of his family name. He looked directly across the table at Mara, the woman he had been raised to hate.
An extreme, cinematic close-up focused tightly on Luca’s face. His powerful, untouchable mafia composure was entirely replaced by a grim, undeniable resolve.
He didn't pull a weapon. He didn't order his men to execute her.
"Tell me the price when we know it," Luca stated. His voice was incredibly quiet, but it carried absolute, final, and decisive authority.
Mara frowned, deeply confused by his response. "The price?"
"The price of the harbor," Luca clarified flawlessly. "The closing stops today. The property belongs to the Sullivan family. I am instructing my lawyers to draft a full, unconditional surrender of the deed back to your name by tomorrow morning."
