Chapter 3 - The Cold Resolve

A medium close-up captured the young wife's face.
She didn't cry anymore. The tears dried up, replaced by an absolute, unbreakable resolve. She pulled her smartphone from the pocket of her floral dress and stared directly at Ryan and Linda with cold, unwavering eyes.
"I'm calling the property manager," the wife stated clearly.
Ryan let out a loud, mocking laugh, walking forward. "Go ahead! Call whoever you want! The property manager works for us, you ungrateful little brat!"
Linda smiled maliciously, shaking the heavy glass pitcher. "Call him! Let's see who he kicks out—the paying owners, or a worthless maid!"
A wide cinematic shot captured the exact moment the arrogant smiles on Linda and Ryan's faces instantly vanished. The color drained from their skin, replaced by absolute, paralyzing panic, the second the wife pressed the speakerphone button and connected the call.
"Hello, this is management," a crisp, professional voice echoed through the bright living room. "How can I assist you, Mrs. Vance?"
