Chapter 7 - The Bride's Betrayal
Celeste watched Adrian weeping pathetically on his knees.
The wealthy, spoiled politician’s daughter completely snapped. She wasn't going to be married to a broke, unemployed, homeless man.
"You lied to me!" Celeste shrieked like a feral banshee, violently kicking Adrian in the shoulder with her expensive white heel.
"Celeste, baby, wait!" Adrian sobbed, trying to grab the hem of her white wedding gown. "I can fix this! I'll get a job! We can still be together!"
"Don't touch me, you pathetic loser!" Celeste roared, violently slapping his hand away.
She reached up and frantically tore the expensive diamond veil off her blonde hair, throwing it directly into the mud right next to Adrian. She didn't care about the guests. She didn't care about the vows.
"The wedding is off!" Celeste screamed, turning her back on him entirely.
She sprinted awkwardly across the estate lawn in her heavy white gown, desperate to get into her father's car and flee the absolute humiliation.
Adrian was left kneeling alone in the dirt, completely abandoned by the woman he had chosen over his own mother.
