Chapter 1 - The Silent Humiliation

The luxurious Chicago steakhouse was a breathtaking display of untouchable wealth. Warm golden lighting poured from massive crystal chandeliers, reflecting beautifully off the pristine white tablecloths and the large glass windows overlooking the glittering city skyline. But at the most expensive VIP table in the center of the room, the elegant atmosphere was completely poisoned by toxic cruelty.

Caleb, a twenty-seven-year-old man with thick, wavy dark brown hair and a sharp black suit, sat in absolute silence. He was completely deaf.

Standing directly behind him was his father, Dominic. The mafia boss was a towering, muscular man in his late fifties, his visible neck and chest tattoos peaking out from his open-collar black shirt. Flanked by two massive bodyguards, Dominic looked down at his own son with pure, unfiltered disgust.

Hannah, a beautiful twenty-eight-year-old waitress with a messy brunette updo, a white button-up shirt, and a black vest, approached the table holding her notepad.

Dominic smirked, pointing mockingly at Caleb. "Go ahead, sweetheart," Dominic sneered loudly. "Ask him if he wants crayons."

Hannah stopped. She didn't laugh. She looked at the cruel mafia boss with a calm, fiercely determined expression. She turned toward Caleb and gently raised her hands.

"Actually, I know sign language," Hannah stated flawlessly.

👉 Dominic’s arrogant smile violently faltered, completely unaware that the waitress was about to unlock his son's deadly silence.
