Chapter 3 - The Corrupt Contract

Dominic aggressively snapped his fingers. One of the muscular bodyguards stepped forward, slamming a thick, legally notarized red folder directly onto the white tablecloth in front of Caleb.
"Enough games," Dominic hissed viciously, abandoning his mocking tone. "Sign the papers, Caleb. Tonight."
Hannah lingered near the table, her heart hammering against her ribs. She didn't need to read the legal jargon to understand what was happening. Dominic was actively trying to force Caleb to sign a voluntary medical conservatorship, legally declaring himself "mentally incompetent" due to his deafness. If Caleb signed, Dominic would gain absolute, unquestioned control over the billion-dollar legitimate real estate trust left by Caleb's mother.
Dominic pulled a heavy gold pen from his pocket and threw it onto the table.
"If you don't sign this right now," Dominic threatened, his voice dropping to a freezing whisper, "I will have my private doctors lock you in a psychiatric facility by midnight. You will never see the sun again."
Caleb didn't flinch. He didn't pick up the pen.
Instead, Caleb looked directly at Hannah. His hands moved with blinding, desperate speed, signing a message completely hidden from the mafia boss.
