Chapter 6 - The Secret Buyout

"Unanimous?!" Ethan roared aggressively, his light stubble making him look suddenly unhinged as he marched toward Meredith. "I control fifty-one percent of the voting shares! The board cannot terminate me without my legal authorization!"

"You used to control fifty-one percent, Ethan," Graham corrected smoothly over the speaker.

The cinematic realism of the suffocating, paralyzing tension completely electrified the entrance foyer.

To understand the absolute, crushing magnitude of the betrayal, one had to look back exactly six months ago. When Meredith first discovered Ethan’s disgusting affair with Vanessa, and uncovered the massive corporate funds he was secretly embezzling to buy his mistress diamonds, she didn't cry. She didn't file for a loud, messy divorce that would leave her with a tiny settlement.

Meredith came from old money. She quietly, meticulously used her own hidden family trust to anonymously purchase every single piece of toxic debt Rowe Enterprises possessed. She formed three separate proxy holding companies and aggressively bought out the minority shareholders one by one, completely in the shadows.

"The holding companies have officially consolidated their voting power," Graham announced clearly through the phone. "Ethan Rowe, you are officially terminated as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Your corporate access has been permanently revoked."
