Chapter 9 - The Billionaire's Wrath
Before Liam could lay a single violent finger on Chloe, the massive, heavy oak doors at the back of the chapel violently burst open. The sound was like a cannon going off.
Standing in the doorway was Liam’s father, Arthur Sterling Sr., a ruthless billionaire with a reputation for completely destroying anyone who threatened his family's legacy. His face was purple with pure, unadulterated rage. Behind him stood a small army of frantic corporate lawyers and muscular security guards.
The 500 guests in the hall behind them were in absolute pandemonium, shouting and gasping in shock.
"Dad!" Liam choked out, throwing his hands up defensively and backing away from the altar. "Dad, wait, I can explain everything! It’s a trick! She manipulated the audio!"
"You disgusting, pathetic excuse for a son!" his father roared, his booming voice shaking the beautiful stained-glass windows of the chapel. "You used my company's clean money to bribe a bankrupt family for a trophy wife? And you openly confessed to it on a hot microphone?!"
"Dad, please!" Liam begged, falling to his knees in the middle of the aisle, completely humiliated in front of the entire city's elite.
"Security, drag him out of my sight!" his father commanded coldly, adjusting his tie. "You are stripped of your CEO title as of this exact second due to the morality clause. I am freezing all of your trust funds, and I am handing you over to the authorities for corporate embezzlement. You are dead to this family!"

Two massive security guards immediately grabbed Liam by the arms, dragging him out of the chapel as he kicked and screamed like a petulant child, his life, wealth, and power completely destroyed in a matter of seconds.
