Chapter 37 - the steel boardroom
Without a single hesitation, Carter kicked open the heavy titanium doors of the master server room with a violent, deafening crash. Five panicked, pale Cipher Syndicate leaders scrambled backward in absolute shock.
Their massive computer monitors were completely fried, sparking and smoking from Carter’s ruthless viral counter-code. Seated at the center of the room was the arrogant Supreme Director, a disgraced former tech mogul who thought he could extort the king of the real estate empire.
Carter stepped forward, his voice a low, vibrating rumble of absolute death that echoed through the dark, steel room, reminding them of the catastrophic mistake they made by threatening his legacy.
The heavily armed mercenaries guarding the Director instantly dropped their weapons, terrified of the laser sights perfectly painting their chests from the darkness. The ancient, terrifying shadow syndicate was completely paralyzed in a matter of seconds.
