Chapter 10 - Alessandro Had to Own What He Did in the Bridal Suite

Alessandro did not pretend throwing the clippers at Bianca’s face was necessary.

It wasn’t.

He had already taken them from her.

Livia was behind him.

Rosalie was moving the child to safety.

The immediate danger had been controlled.

Then he threw the clippers.

Then kicked Bianca.

His rage was understandable.

His response went beyond what was needed to stop her.

When investigators asked, Alessandro answered plainly.

“I lost control.”

“Was your daughter still in immediate danger when you threw the clippers?”

“No.”

“Why did you do it?”

“Because I saw her hair on the floor.”

That explained it.

It did not excuse it.

He accepted responsibility for his actions separately from Bianca’s conduct.

That mattered later.

Especially because he wanted Livia to grow up understanding one lesson:

Protecting someone is not the same as taking revenge for them.
