Chapter 8 - Catherine Had Suspended the Restructuring an Hour Before the Clippers Started
The timing changed everything.
At 10:18 that morning, Catherine formally suspended all review of the proposed management transfer.
Reason:
Potential conflict of interest.
Incomplete disclosures.
Concerns regarding future beneficiary protection.
At 10:31, she asked Alessandro to meet her privately.
At 10:42, Alessandro learned for the first time how much authority Bianca had been attempting to secure.
At 10:50, Catherine showed him Rosalie’s photographs.
Livia’s nursery relabeled.
Staff restructuring notes.
A proposed occupancy plan that would eventually move Livia into the east guest wing under the explanation that “the marital residence requires adult privacy.”
Alessandro was stunned.
Then Catherine said:
“There is more.”
Before she could continue, Rosalie called.
Something was happening in the bridal suite.
Alessandro ran.
That was why he entered already carrying a truth Bianca did not know he had.
